Never Ever River

Never Ever River

Never Ever River, digital, 16:9, color, 1’45, Morocco, 2018

A single challenge that is absorbing. It’s like holding your breath, minimal but thoughtful. Traversing the landscape of the Moroccan desert, against the blazing sun. Wind mixed with sand in search of a compression of distance and time. The landscape is a canvas for the experience of seeing with the mechanical eye. The movement of zooming in attracts the human eye to the centre of the frame.

8.9 km walk trough the desert; using the zoomlens to walk a straight line to the red dunes.

Thanks to Alchemy Film & Arts Festival Scotland and Cafe Tissardmine Morocco for organizing this residency.
