This 16mm film/installation is the outcome of a self-organized residency at the Groothandelsgebouw in Rotterdam. For many years, this cinema stood like a concrete skeleton atop the building. The architect fought hard for funding and eventually completed this remarkable cinematic space, a cinema with a window overlooking the heart of Rotterdam. Light entered the cinema, revealing floating dust, the soft texture of the floor, the rhythm of the chairs, and the velvet curtains.
